TOMORA – Celebration
Tom Rowlands has spent decades figuring out how long a build can run before a room loses it, and “Celebration” pushes right up to that point. A driving electronic pulse carries it, the production continues to stack, and AURORA stays clear and steady on top while everything underneath gets louder. It’s the title track of TOMORA’s five-track EP, recorded at RAR Studios in Sussex and out October 16 on Fontana Records.
The duo put the idea plainly: “Celebration is a privilege. Celebration is a person. Celebration is a funeral and celebration is a ritual.” That funeral line is what gives the song its weight. Euphoric, sure, but euphoric the way a wake gets loud after midnight, grief and joy sharing the same dancefloor.
